Serbatoio e morchie..!! Gasoline tank and diesel algae..!!

The wise man says: “Never change anything without first checking that everything is in order …”
I have not followed this advice last year, in fact yesterday I removed the  Dreamer‘s diesel tank  as oil seeped from taps and the flange where is installed the float level. Removed the tap and the float I found that within the same were already present SLUDGE after just 6 months of use ..Cleaned now shine as new!! In fact a friend of mine work in a refinery  I confirmed the increased presence of water in the diesel fuel. So we pay water ..!! Damn them!

Lavori con epoxy…!! Works with epoxy..!!

Luck is my help .. beautiful weather and especially not cold. Yesterday there were about 15 degrees as indeed also the past few weeks , this has allowed me to begin the work planned in the bow. Going up on the floor of the forward berth I listen some crunches and the floor flexed .. mmmmm … disassembled the whole thing I noticed right away that something was wrong … the wooden platform has some pieces of wood glued and staples . These in fact were all loose with time.I remade all with marine plywood 2cm, with epoxy resin and subsequently screwed , now all shows strength and rigidity !
In addition, the flange of fiberglass on the port/starboard sides where the floor is screwd was flexing . I killed two birds with one stone … I used the flange as a reinforcement of the sides smearing under a mixture of epoxy resin mixed with mineral fibers and subsequently resin with large mat . A nice shot of stiffness with little expense really easy. Dreamer more and more solid !
